Local Area Network running slow
This is a very common problem and is often related to either the server, a single PC or network flooding.
  • The server maybe overloaded with either network traffic, CPU cycles or short of RAM, rebooting the server is a good start for this problem
  • The same goes for a single PC, again a reboot is a good start
  • Network flooding is somewhat harder to find, the easiest way is to look at the network switch to indentify the machines on the network generating all the traffic by the fast flashing lights
